Today we had the opportunity to ride the metro (above ground tram). It stretches 14 miles across the city and was built about 10 years ago. We were able to get a wonderful view of the city and see another side of Medellin. We have been staying in the most beautiful, nicest, safest part of the city. Today we saw some areas that were very sad. The metro was built for the people who live up in the mountains to be able to get down to work every day (before, they had to walk 2 hours to work). It is a very inexpensive way to travel. It cost $.50 for Christy and $.50 for me. Once the metro runs out, you get onto a cable car that carries you on up into the mountain. Hope you enjoy the pictures!
