We had a very interesting morning at the zoo! The children here in Colombia are in school right now......they are on break for the month of July and mid-November through mid-January. The pictures above are of a class who was visiting the zoo today. They (all of them) immediately hooked up with us and followed us everywhere and gave us a wonderful tour of the zoo. They were so adorable trying to pronounce their Spanish clearly enough for us to understand. We were constantly saying, ¨despacio¨ meaning ¨more slowly¨. We met their teacher and she and I exchanged email addresses. She asked me to email her the pictures I took of the kids and she would let the children write to us. As we were leaving, all of the children were hugging our necks and kissing our cheeks. We felt like movie stars! As you can tell from the pictures, Reid felt a little smothered because the children kept trying to pick him up and carry him around! He enjoyed it for a little while but then got very tired and needed a nap.
