From Colombia to Arkansas

The integration meeting went very well yesterday. We were interviewed by the director of child welfare. When she asked us if the boys already had a place in our hearts, Richard and I both cried and answered, ¨definitely.¨ Then we went to the courthouse and signed some papers. The judge wanted to meet us. He was a very nice, gracious man. He is the one who will study our case and present a verdict in a few days. Monday is a holiday here so we think we will hear something by the end of next week. This is much faster than we anticipated so we may be home a week early. My sister is coming This Sunday instead of next! Pray for her safety, please. The holiday on Monday starts today. It is a HUGE national and international holiday called the Holiday of Flowers. The main event is a flower parade on Sunday evening. Native Colombians come down from the mountains with flower arrangements on their backs. Sometimes the arrangements are so huge, it takes several people to carry them. Our boys are originally from the mountains, a village called Antes....three hours from the city of Medellin. Medellin is down in a hole surrounded by mountains.

p.s. brigade girls, notice the shirts you guys gave the boys. they boys look beautiful in them with their dark skin!!
